When should I book?

It is best to book after your 20-week scan to secure your due date. We sometimes have last minute availability however it is always best to book in advance. I will book in a rough provisional date for the shoot based on your due date then if baby is early or overdue this can be adjusted if necessary.

Is there a deposit?

To secure your booking in my diary a non refundable

deposit of £45 is required. This comes off the total cost of the package cost.​

Are there any other costs?

There are no tricks or hidden costs with our packages. Our packages include the shoot as well as the package images so you know exactly what you are getting from the beginning.  We do not do session fee's followed by unexpected package costs. This means that you will receive your beautiful package of images full of variety across multiple set ups using your choice of colour scheme for exactly the cost you see above.

What age is best for newborn photos?

Between 7-21 days old. Outwith this a newborn shoot is still possible however baby will be more alert and less curled up. 

 

Do we get to pick out colour choices?

Yes. 2-3 colours work best. I will set up based on your colour scheme and work through my workflow to create a beautiful gallery of images for your package.

Can siblings join?

Absolutely, both packages include babies parents and babies siblings. attending/being photographed. For the mini newborn shoot a couple of parent and sibling images are included. If babies siblings are attending family images will be done at the beginning of the shoot. Once these images have been achieved I then advise that siblings be collected or go with a parent for a wander around the shopping centre as as you will know, young children get bored super quickly. Babies parents are encouraged to get involved in the photos however if you’re not keen, it can be as simple as silhouette shots or your hands wrapped around baby. Babies are swaddled for the majority of the shoot as this keeps them safe and secure in the props. Unwrapped shots are done last.

How do I receive my digital images?

Turn around time for receiving your images will be within 2.5 weeks after your shoot. These will be sent to you via a download link. I also offer a prints and wall art service. A list will be sent to you with your images should you wish to order anything.

 

Where is the session held?

In our cosy studio: 121 Strathmore House East Kilbride G741LF (East Kilbride Shopping Centre) There is plenty of parking at the shopping centre with a short walk to the studio through the shopping centre.

What does baby led mean?

Every newborn session is completely baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and settling whenever needed. I work gently and patiently at your baby’s pace to create a calm, relaxed experience for both baby and parents. There is never any pressure for your little one to sleep or pose in a certain way — your baby’s comfort and safety will always come first while capturing beautiful natural images you’ll treasure forever. Your babies safety is more important than any pose. They are the boss.

What should parents and siblings wear?

I have everything required for baby. Parents and Siblings should wear a neutral un-patterned outfit or if desired a coloured simple outfit that matches the colour scheme. It is always best for parent and sibling outfit to be un fussy as not to distract from yourselves and baby. The focus should be on you rather than distracting outfit patterns etc.

Can other family members join in?

If you are looking for a photoshoot of baby with extended family(cousins, grandparents etc) this is available as a separate shoot under the family section of the website. The general newborn shoots and newborn mini shoot are suitable for babies immediate family (babies parents and babies siblings) attending as well as being photographed.

Will my images be shared online?

Only if you’re happy for me to do so. I completely understand that many parents prefer to keep their images private, and I always respect that decision. Whether it’s for personal, professional or privacy reasons, your wishes will always come first.

I will ask if this is okay or not in the studio then require this decision in writing either way for admin purposes.

When does the cake smash voucher need to be redeemed? If you have a cake smash voucher to use that came with your newborn shoot package this must be booked in the diary by 3 months after your newborn shoot. This will be booked in for a few weeks before their birthday so that you have the images back in time for their 1st birthday. Why book so far in advance? This is to ensure that there is a slot available so that your cake smash voucher doesn't go to waste. The voucher can only be used if there is availability which is why it must be booked in within 3 months of your newborn shoot.
